How to see if my Kali Linux has Metasploit

In this blog, I’ll show you three ways to determine if Metasploit is installed

Method 1: Search for Metasploit in the application menu.

To access the Applications menu, locate the button situated in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. It is identifiable by its icon, which resembles a white dragon against a blue background. Click on this button to open the Applications menu.

In the search bar, type ‘Meta’. You’ll see the Metasploit framework appear. Click on it to open Metasploit.

Method 2: How to open Kali Linux in the terminal.

Open the terminal. To check if Metasploit is installed, type:

					sudo msfdb init && msfconsole

After executing the command, enter the password for Kali.
You’ll see that Metasploit opens.

Method 3: Check the website to see which tools are installed in the latest version of Kali Linux.

Go to this website: https://www.kali.org/tools/. Scroll down the page, and you’ll find all the tools installed with Kali Linux. Look for Metasploit.

On the website, you can see which versions of Kali Linux have Metasploit installed.
