Welcome to my blog! In this post, I’ll show you how to remove VAR from a competition using the FM Editor. Follow these step-by-step instructions to customize your Football Manager experience. Let’s get started!
- Make sure a database is loaded.
- Next, click on “Rules” and then on “Add Nation Rules.”
3. Next, click on “Add Lower Divisions and Cups to Existing Structure,” select the country where you want to remove VAR, and then click “Finish.”
4. Click on ‘Database‘ and then on ‘Competitions.’
Next, we will look up the competition.
5. Click on ‘Add Condition‘ and then on ‘Name.’
Next, change ‘contains‘ to ‘is.’
Then, enter the competition name.”
6. Double-click or select the competition, and then click ‘Edit’ to open the competition.
7. Select the “Details” tab.
8. Scroll down until you come across “Video Assistant Referee.”
9. Click open the dropdown menu next to “Video Assistant Referee” and select “No VAR”
Under “Video Assistant Referee,” you can also disable Goal Line Technology by simply unchecking the box labeled “Uses Goal-Line Technology.”
Now, let’s save the adjustments.
- Click on ‘Save Editor Data As…‘ then choose a name and press ‘Save.’
After saving, make sure to check the rules; otherwise, it won’t work.
Click on ‘Rules‘ and then ‘Test Rules.‘ If the rules are valid, save the database again. After this, you can open Football Manager and load your database.
